    Hi!! I’m in a bit of a slump and looking for some self help books to help with my self esteem, social skills, outlook on life, anxiety, depression, etc etc. To put it plainly, though, a lot of books in the genre recycle the same obvious information and don’t have much depth. Sorry if I’m sounding pretentious, I’m just sick of being recommended The Alchemist or something with a curse word thrown into the title to seem edgy. Do any of you have any self help books that you’ve found to be unique, eye opening, stimulating, or just better than most of what the genre has to offer. Thanks!

    1. So, if I recommend to you a book on generalized anxiety but really what you are experiencing is trauma from your childhood and the depression anxiety hopelessness are all symptoms from that issue, then the book that I recommended does not really help you.

      Is there an underlying problem that is happening / already happened?
