Hi! I have read only fiction my whole life and am trying to slowly get into non fiction. My biggest issue with it has been that people will recommend me classic theory books that contains language I honestly can't wrap my head around. So I'm basically looking for non fiction that's a bit easier to digest & mildly short.
Non fiction that I like includes: Educated by Tara Westover, I'm Glad My Mom Died, I also like graphic novel nonfiction like Maus, Fun Home, and Barefoot Gen.
I'm interested in history, Queer literature, true crime, cults, & the study of mythology/religion/cultural tradition. I know every book I listed is a memoire but I don't like memoires very much unless I know the person or especially love the topic 😭(Fun Home being queer lit, Maus & Barefoot Gen being WW2 testimonials).
