Hey all, I’m looking for recommendations that aren’t fantasy , I’ve listened to alot of them lately and need a bit of a change! My only real requirement is audio format as my job has me in a vehicle all day. Other than that I’m into things like horror, military, adventures and such, I’ll list a few series I’ve read :
    Tier one
    The remaining
    Monster hunter international

    1. If you think you could get into historical fiction about adventures by former military personal, you have two wonderful books you could read, both with excellent audio books –

*Lonesome Dove* – two retired Texas rangers decide to start a cattle drive from Texas to Montana in the waning days of the Wild West. Adventure ensues. The first 50 or so pages are very relaxed, and some might call them boring, but they are setting up so many plot points down the road. If you try it, at least stick it out until they start the cattle drive.

*Shogun* – A British captain and his crew are shipwrecked in Japan around 1600, right when Japan is first beginning to slowly open it’s borders to the West. Again, the first 50 pages can be relatively off-putting – the author throws about 20 characters at you who are all essentially identical with no real features. Don’t worry about them. Pretty quickly, the book will get pared down to the four main characters, and after that the story is much easier to follow, despite being epic in scale.
