Looking for some romance novel suggestions. I have been absolutely obsessed with everything Abby Jimenez writes, but I am quickly running out of her books to read.
I love romance novels that have just a bit of edge to them. I would say that I am quite picky when it comes to romance, as I love having a plot that will make me laugh, cry, and everything in between. I feel that recently many mainstream romance novels have shifted to fulfill the “book-tok” obsession with spice. While I am no prude by any sense of the word, I have grown tired of reading the “best romance book of 2024” just to find that it is nothing more than porn with a little bit of plot.
So please, give me some suggestions that would fill the void that will soon exist. Books that have some meaning behind them. Books that tackle some broader themes. Romance books that made you both laugh and cry. They can have a spicy scene here and there, but I don’t want that to be the primary focus of the book.
