I like the movie Princess Bride I think it might be one of the pieces of media I have the most quotes from. But I love the book even more. Some books I feel are in a way similar are I think that the magic used in this tale would not feel too out of place in Discworld, with itss having miracle men and a zoo of death and strange geography of fire swamps. I think that the author inserts are similar to the world of the Series of Unfortunate Events, where it's obviously a real story and here are real historic sources to back it up, the type where if you were a child with a strong suspension of disbelief you may just possibly be absolutely certain that such things exist. Anyways I know my request is a little vague, do your best.
