I’m writing a fictional story about a star college athlete that turns out to be a bust. I want to explore the physiological effects of being built up your entire life as a star athlete only to finally make it to the pro’s and realize you’re at the bottom of the heap. I was wondering if there are any memoirs or stories of busts that might help me do some preliminary research to get a better idea of what I need for my character to help flesh him out.
