Books that feel like home?
I’m in a rut and looking for recommendations of books that feel like home, like while reading them the world is so immersive that it’s like the book is hugging you in a thick blanket. The book is engrossing even if it’s deeply sad. Your heart aches when it’s over and you want to just pour back into it. It’s compelling and rich and you want to fly through it but also savor it?
I realize this is super personal as an experience — I’m not looking for cozy books or overly earnest books. Some books I’ve read that feel like this (to me):
– Circe
– Song of Achilles
– The Broken Earth Trilogy
– The Inheritance Trilogy
– Fates & Furies
– The Glass Hotel
any recs are super welcome!
