As the title suggests, I just finished Crying in H Mart and I was hooked from start to finish. Of course the story of loss of very gripping but what really got me was Michelle’s descriptions of Korean food and their preparation. It has me wanting to write down every dish she mentioned and try them all. I’d love to read more books with this level of care put into writing about food, specifically the ways in which they tie into culture and our lives as a whole. If anyone has any recommendations along these lines I’d love to hear them!
