Hi there. I'm getting back into reading more over the summer but am admittedly someone with pretty high emotional dysregulation due to mental health disorder. I really love to read books that make me think or feel deeply, but admittedly they can be a lot for me because of how strong my emotional reactions can be (i cry or become anxious very easily) and I need to take frequent breaks from really impactful texts. I have a laundry list of emotionally/psychologically rich books I want to read, but I have no idea where to start when it comes to finding a book i can read in public (like slow spells at work or visiting the park) or as a breather between parts of heavy books.

It doesn't neccesarily need to be 100% happy, and I'd rather it not be boring — just hopefully something "refreshing," I guess? I don't know exactly how to put it into words. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
