Hi! I have read 90% fiction my whole life and am trying to slowly get into non fiction. My biggest issue with it has been that people will recommend me classic theory books that contains language I honestly can't wrap my head around. So I'm basically looking for non fiction that's a bit easier to digest & maybe shorter.

Non fiction that I like includes: Educated by Tara Westover, I'm Glad My Mom Died, I also like graphic novel nonfiction like Maus, Fun Home, and Barefoot Gen. I'm on hold for Ace by Angela Chen right now. I bought Lies My Teacher Told Me forever ago but the complexity of it has spooked me lol.

I'm interested in history (especially history that humanizes people of the past), Queer literature, true crime, cults, & the study of mythology/religion/cultural tradition.
