A year ago I read “Before We Were Strangers” by Renee Carlino and that book has set the standard for me when reading a book since it made me feel like I was spectating a couple’s lives and I couldn’t put the book down since the plot felt super realistic. I am asking for anyone to recommend me any ROMANCE CONTEMPORARY books you couldn’t put down and felt like you were spectating when reading. I just picked up Elin Hilderbrand so any of her books would be helpful too! 🤍

I just read “People We Meet on Vacation” by Emily Henry, and I absolutely loved it. I’m not a big romance reader (typically I’m more into thrillers), but I’m definitely planning to check out more of the author’s books.
Love Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood, Take a Hint Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert, Better Than Fiction by Alexa Martin, Well Matched by Jen DeLuca, Funny Story by Emily Henry, & Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez
Consider The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther- technically YA but does not read like one.
Every Summer After by Carley Fortune was another I really liked.
Taylor Reid Jenkins’s One True Loves could also work for you.
I like some of Elin Hilderbrand, but don’t think of her as really romance. I liked The Five-Star Weekend and Golden Girl a lot. Also Silver Girl.

Ugh! I love this question! I have been reading a ton of contemporary romances this summer:
– This Summer Will be Different (cute, summer-y romance with a charming setting)
– Practice Makes Perfect (made me squeal, super cute)
– The Good Part (emotional, cool concept)
– Funny Story( I thought I wasn’t a big fan of Emily Henry until this book)
-Second Chance Year (sweet, wholesome)
– The Flatshare (my go-to romance comfort novel)
