    Hi Folks!

I've been developing a book recommendation app, currently called ABRA (Another Book Recommendation App), and I'm currently seeking volunteers for our initial round of data testing.

I'm looking for individuals who currently use GoodReads to track their reading and ratings, and who would be willing to share their rating history with us. We only require the book name, ISBN, and your star rating—no other personal information is necessary.

Here are some FAQs to provide background:

    Why are you doing this?
I haven't yet found a reliable book recommendation engine.

    How is ABRA different?
Most recommendation engines use keywords like "Romance," "Horror," "Dragons," or "Young Adult" to suggest books, which can lead to arbitrary results. ABRA works differently by comparing readers themselves. It finds other readers who share your book preferences and makes recommendations across your entire library.

Is ABRA a replacement for GoodReads?
No, ABRA is meant to complement GoodReads. Despite its flaws, GoodReads remains the most widely-used book review platform. ABRA will work alongside it, so you won't need to switch apps to track your reading habits.

    What's in it for me?
Participants will be among the first to try ABRA and will receive lifetime ad-free access to premium features as they're added.

If you're interested in participating, please leave a comment or send me a message, and I will contact you with further information.

    Best regards,

    Tom
