Hi, so I'm heading into a mechanical engineering course later this year and would like to gain some knowledge about cars as my desire is to get into formula 1, but I hate to admit I know a lot less about cars than I'd like to, especially about some basic inner workings. Do you guys have any recommendations for books that would be good to read so I can increase my knowledge on the subject? Primarily ones about the technical/engineering side of it all.

    Cheers.

    1. Martin Stockel has written introductory books about how auto engines work. I bought Auto Fundamentals a while ago and liked it.
