Hi everyone! It’s my turn to pick the next book for my book club, and I’d love some recommendations. Our general criteria for our picks are:
1) published recently or in the last 2-3 years,
2) female leads and/or female authors,
3) a book that seems like it will lead to good discussion
Any genre is fair game! We tend to enjoy something with at least some element of romance, and something with a different culture / time period / reality than our own American late-20-something-year-old lives.

The Road Rises by Sarah Dunne. Very funny travel memoir of solo mum, empty nester looking for Mr Right. Found myself snorting with laughter during most of this book. Witty. Joyous and uplifting. Published this year I think. Could be just what you’re looking for. Any funny book is a plus for me!
