I am a big fan of the books by the above authors but with Griffin and Cussler passing, I have fewer and fewer books I find interesting enough to read. Nelson Demille's John Sutter and John Corey novels were some of my favorite. Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt series was great until others started writing them; they don't have the same "feel" as the ones he wrong. We all know what a disaster the last book – Rogue Agent – turned out to be. David Morrell turned away from his Brotherhood of the Rose, and other "spy" novels after 2010 and I miss that genre out of him.

I remember long ago reading TE Cruise's Wings of Gold series and loved it. Same with Gayle Rivers' The Specialist. Another book I loved was Harold Coyle's Team Yankee. With what I described as my "taste" in books, could you recommend an author that I should try or any individual books?

    1. This is a hard one because those books you mentioned are pretty unique in their style. Maybe look into the Orphan X series by Greg Hurwitz, the Virgil Flowers series by John Sanford, Grey man series by Mark Greaney, and a little different style but the character development is really great is the Mike Boditch series by Paul Dorion.
