I’m looking for a really well-written book with comic leanings featuring an ordinary and relatable person navigating the adventures of everyday life. Basically, I would love to read about a character who might be considered a grown-up Ramona Quimby or Margaret Simon. Or even Anne Shirley. The character is flawed but doing her best to make her way.
I am hoping to connect with a character in the same way that I connected with Ramona, Margaret, and Anne when I was young.
Thank you so much in advance!

Shopaholic or any books by Sophie Kinsella have the same feel for me. Bridget Jones too.
The characters in Marian Keyes’ books remind me of this. There are 5 sisters and books about each of them.
* Big Swiss by Jen Beagin
* Everyone In This Room Will Someday Be Dead by Emily Austin
* Green Dot by Madeleine Gray
* Greta and Valdin by Rebecca Reilly
* Worry by Alexandra Tanner
