I’m hesitant to flair this post, because I am NOT looking for a regular rinse-and-repeat romance book.
However, I just watched Dune 2 this week and something about seeing Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet made me realize that I really miss obsessing over fictional couples.
I also finished re-(re-)reading Harry Potter earlier this year, and Harry and Ginny give me that same feeling.
So in short, I’m looking for a good book (could be a series, could be a standalone) that will hook me with the story and that also has some obsession-worthy romance in it (I’m talking fanfiction-spin-off worthy obsession).
Again, I’m not necessarily looking for a primarily-romance book itself (pls don’t suggest fifty shades of grey or i’ll cry); I do need the plot and the world/character building to be just as good as the romance, otherwise I won’t like the book. So anything fantasy/sci-fi/adventure/contemporary drama fiction is more my speed.
Other notable books I’ve read and loved (albeit these have all been in my child/teen/YA years, so it’s been a long time since I’ve read these): The Hunger Games, Divergent, Gregor the Overlander, The Darkest Minds, etc.
