I’m looking for a magical realism book (Not fantasy, I don’t want the book to go that far in that direction) with a female main character and an amoral/villainous male love interest?
I don't want a fantasy book, no adventures, quests or other worlds full of magic.
But I do want a non-human male love interest for the female main character grounded in realism.
Hench by Natalie Zima Walshots, maybe? I’m not sure where your line is on magical realism vs urban fantasy, and if it needs to be a true romance with spice & a HEA, but if not then it’s a great read.

If you’re interested in a primarily romance plot maybe try asking r/romancebooks they’re fabulous with these sorts of requests
