TLDR: I fell in love with self help books but fell into a slump. I miss learning and bettering myself and I’m looking for the perfect book to get me back on track.
I began reading a lot 2 years ago but fell out of touch recently. I was mainly reading self help books because i felt lost in this world. Eventually some things took a turn, for the better. I am in a relationship now, i have a job, life is pretty nice. However, i feel like i learned and grew more as an individual in those 2 years of reading than i did throughout the rest of my life. I miss the feeling of understanding my emotions, thoughts, and actions. I feel like i’ve been so occupied with life i lost track of the person i spent those 2 years trying to build. I still carry some of the same values but definitely am not practicing them as much as i used to. I want a simple read that will help motivate me to continue on a path of personal growth.
Here are a list of books that i’ve read that helped change the way I think. These i feel saved me from losing myself and I am looking for a book that encapsulates all of them (or some):
Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer, How to Think Like a Roman Emperor by Donald Robertson, Atomic Habits by James Clear, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Zen And The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Persig, The Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz, The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnage, The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, The Old Man and The Sea by Hemingway, The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch.
Thanks in advance! 🙂
