I use these media heavily with my smartphone and in-ear bluetooth headphones, usually in the gym, while walking, on the train or cleaning my room. Here is my summary

    .

Podcast: I listen to podcasts on Spotify. The content is varied but lacks the depth of books and audiobooks and is usually much shorter. Podcasts are great for exploring a variety of subjects, but they often lack in depth and well researched content. The good thing is that the content is often more current compared to books.

    -Only audio required

    .

Youtube: Youtube has more content compared to podcasts. You can also read comments to see what other people think. Some content can be listened to as audio only, but it's not recommended because you might miss something. Some videos are shorter compared to podcasts and audiobooks.
    -video and audio required

    .

Music: Good for relaxing, especially from the UK Top 40, Billboard Hot 100, or classical music. Not as good for intellectual stimulation compared to other media

    -only audio required

    .

Internet radio: Good for discovering new music and world news, though not as in depth as audiobooks. BBC Radio is my favorite, especially BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4.

    -only audio required

    .

Live TV channels: Most of the content is really bad, with documentaries often turning into reality TV shows. The good reasons to watch are 1 I can watch live sports 2 I can stream live TV channels on my smartphone everywhere. However, the content can't compete with audiobooks

    -video and audio required

    .

Streaming services : such as Netflix and Disney Plus are designed for watching, you can't just listen to them. Some activities are more restricted when streaming compared to other media like audiobooks, which only require audio.

    -video and audio required

    .

Audiobook: Audiobooks: Many of the contents in this medium cannot be found in other media such as podcasts or Youtube. Most are not free, they require a subscription or purchase. Many novels are exceptionally well written, often taking about 4-6 hours to complete. Non-fiction works are detailed and well researched. Some narrators are so talented that you just can't stop listening to them.

    -only audio required

    .

    .

Summary, audiobooks excel over other media because they're typically well written and researched, provide longer stories but are usually not free.
