I’m finishing up a book of Alexander the Great, guide me to the next book I should read, of any period of history?

I’m reading Alexander of Macedonia at the moment by Peter Green. I’m in the last 50 pages. Damn great book and Alexander’s life is a spectacle to read about. Just one crazy thing after another. Quite the roller coaster.

I’m looking for another book to read as I’ll be finishing this one soon.

Here’s what I read so far

• Alexander of Macedonia by Peter Green

• Napoleon: A Life by Andrew Robert’s

• Rubicon by Tom Holland

• SPQR and Emperors of Rome by Mary Beard

• The Rise and Fall Of The Roman Empire… don’t recall by who actually, excuse me.

• Third Reich Trilogy by Richard Evans.

Recommend whatever you wish. Personally I prefer older history like medieval and before. But it doesn’t matter I’ll read anything. Truth be told the most important thing is that the book is written in an engaging manner. Not dry.
