From memory it was quite a well known title but it has escaped me. Set during WWII (I think), typical family struggling in a dingy flat. Girl meets boy and they have an intense romance. The first half of the book is pretty much just that and it gets raunchy. I don’t even remember the rest of the book, but I remember it was good, and it’s been on my mind. Please help! TIA
