Am looking for books that fall into the category of narrating the comings and goings of a group of friends. Often without plot and existing discursively; indulging in the characters’ often times pseudo intellectualism, underpinned by the erotic vitality of your 20s/early 30s.
Am thinking something in line with Geoff Dyer’s earlier novels (Colour of Memory + Paris Trance). I also read Andrew Martin’s Early Work which would fit within this hodge-podge’d genre. I guess Sheila Heti would also come under this umbrella, although I’m not too keen on her writing.
