If any of you have seen Netflix’s adaptation of the Witcher then I was if y’all had any recommendations of books with a main characters like Jaskier. I really wish the media had more characters like him. I’m looking for a character who isn’t the strongest or the fastest or the best. He’s someone who despite standing amongst strong individuals shine son his own. I want a performer not a fighter like Jaskier. Someone who people might misinterpret like Geralt and Yenneffer did with Jaskier when calling him shallow. A character who isn’t emotionally unavailable but shows it with no regards. A character who sticks to others like glue once he likes them well enough. I’m not really good at descriptions but I hope this helps. If he’s funny it’s also a bonus.

Book Jaskier is pretty cool too – he’s a bit more independent in the books to an extent, there’s maidens to bed and songs to sing naturally. But I’d start there. You could also check out Lord of the Rings, Merry and Pippin are goofy troublemakers (but not as awesome as dandelion/jaskier).
