Really enjoyed the interesting subject matter and how well researched it was and how well the story was told. Any non fiction recommendations with similar features!
I loved *Bad Blood.* I think the genre you want to look into would be investigative journalism. I have a couple on my to-read list for the same combination of medical science and shady dealings.
*The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks:* cancer cells taken from a patient in 1951 have been cloned and used in a wide variety of medical research for decades, but the patient’s family didn’t know about the industry profiting from her cells until long after she was dead.
*Empire of Pain:* the Sackler family, their great reputation for philanthropy, and the wads of cash they made from Oxycontin and consequently the opioid epidemic.
