My grandparents are the most important people in my life. We are so incredibly close, and I fear the day that there time to go “home” comes. My papa has made comments recently that suggests that he doesn’t know how much longer he’ll be around for. To add, my grandparents have a strong faith in the Lord. Can anyone recommend a read on how to cope with the idea of losing a grandparent, either from a Christian perspective or not. TIA!

This may not be exactly what you are looking for, but I read Moonglow by Michael Chabon shortly after my grandfather died and I loved it.
I’ve lost grandparents, parents, nephews/nieces
Death, loss, grief… sudden death hits hard. It was easier when death and loss was anticipated because of age or terminal illness.
Books from christian perspective. A classic— “A Grief Observed” by CS Lewis. I found this next one very helpful for sudden death – “Lament for a Son” by Nicolas Wolterstorff.
From secular perspective. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross was known for her works on stages of grief. Many titles
A suggestion- spend your remaining time capturing memories… search for books to prompt preserving memories- lots of options… there was one that caught my eye – by Jane Fransisco “The Grandparents Book of Memories: 100 questions to recall the times of your lives” I’m sure an internet search could find free suggested questions.
