I just read “I Who Have Never Known Men” and “Piranesi.” Both were immediate 5 star reads for me. Something I loved about both of them was that the protagonists/narrators were living in an unknown/mysterious world, were unsure of how they ended up there, and were trying to learn more about the world. Does anyone have suggestions for books with a similar vibe? Thanks!

Blake Crouch’s man-on-the-run thriller **Dark Matter** ramps up in the first few pages and never slows down. It’s told in first-person point-of-view so the reader is trying to figure out what is happening at the same rate the protagonist is. He’s not ‘uncovering secrets’ as much as he is trying to learn to navigate the ‘rules’.
