Ironically, despite leaning politically/economically left myself, I feel like I can articulate the ideological influences and core beliefs of the American Right Wing much better than the Left, mainly because I’ve read a few books on this topic recently (e.g., The New Right by Michael Malice). Thus, I’m looking for a work that delves into the ideological influences of the contemporary American Left. I’d prefer something published within the past five to ten years and something not too polemical on one hand or advocating for a particular leftist ideology per se on the other – I’m looking for a more “neutral” descriptive work to the degree that’s possible. Thanks for any recommendations.
