I am looking for a book that shows the hypocrisy of modern nation states especially on enacting laws. About how an act may be deemed illegal or unlawful yet it is morally right and, but for the hypocrisy/dishonesty of the state such act will be totally allowed (it may even be encouraged in an entirely separate state). Conversely, an action may be deemed by the state to be legal, however it's morally rephensible. For example, slavery used to be legal even though it was immoral, to say the least. I want books on such laws in modern times. Thank you.
