I miss reading genuine werewolf fiction. I don't even mind a bit of naughty stuff, but most werewolf or shape-shifting fiction is set in some sort of Omegaverse and I'm not a fan of that…whole mess.
I've read the Howling books, I've read Kelley Armstrong's books and a handful of others that I can't recall the titles to.

Cycle of the werewolf by Stephen King is one that comes to mind. Another one would be Ritus by Mark Heintz (I‘m not sure if that one has an English translation tho)
Stephen King had the Cycle of the Werewolf. Might be some smut though.
I would recommend Carrie Vaughn’s “Kitty Norville” series. It begins with Kitty and the Midnight Hour.
Those Across the River by Christopher Buehlmann
Autobiography of a Werewolf Hunter by Brian Easton
