I'm creating the biggest organized library of books that exist, and linked to every book pages in search engines ( Either Buy or read It ). It will be a specialized search engine of books, literally.
Features included :
- Browse any book within 100 million book database that i personally curated ( no not using openLibrary at all )
- every book will be linked to a website that contains the epub / pdf book
- Personal library where you can create & organize collections in shelves
- Import libraries from GoodReads, Storygraph, Kindle etc
- Search feature that gives you results for queries like ( Books where the protagonist is an old single mom, with love and drama and a happy ending )
- Recommendation system tailored to you library content and your browsing history ( i already have one that is so accurate it predicts books my friends have on their desk )
- API freely available providing a VERY ORGANIZED book infos ( linked to each other by editions, authors, series etc ) and access to 50 recommendation functions to use.
- DMCA Report page where we remove any link that the publisher doesnt like.
I already did 80% of the work. Currently designing the layout and stuff. My current issues are :
- Name ( i need a cool Name of the project. Something like Codex or Gutenberg or stuff like that )
- Funding ( I guess i will set up a Patreon to support if needed, because I want it to be accessible for free. Also I want to make it an app and add features if requested ), if Patreon then what kind of plans to put there.
