Hey Reddit,
I'm reaching out because I'm at a real low point in my life. I've been pouring my heart and soul into a goal for a long time, giving it everything I had, but I keep getting knocked down. Two days ago, my backup plan fell through too, and it feels like the rug has been ripped out from under me.
I'm drowning in this pit of hopelessness and feeling completely alone. It's hard not to feel like a failure, especially when I see others seemingly breeze through life.
Look, I know my problems might seem insignificant to some, and I don't need books about overcoming Everest or becoming a CEO. I just want to feel heard and understood. Telling me "it'll be okay" doesn't cut it right now, because honestly, it doesn't feel okay.
That being said, I'm desperate to crawl out of this slump. Can anyone recommend any books that deal with feeling lost, defeated, and like the universe is just throwing punches? Maybe something that explores those raw emotions or offers a character who feels like they're going through something similar?
Even if it's just a story that resonates and makes me feel a little less alone, I'd be incredibly grateful. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the downer post.
