I (19M) was a healthy young adult with no health issues until last March. Since then I have had 3 surgeries which included an organ transplant. I now am on medication that makes me act differently (mainly prednisone) and I have found that I no longer like the person I am. I have become very self centered, easily bored by others, very condescending towards others around me, and generally unpleasant to the ones I love. I struggle with taking my frustrations out on those I love, because I know they will forgive me. I am like a totally different person now.

Can anyone suggest me a book that will help me change my thinking and become a better person and improve upon my problems I mentioned?suggestions of books that have personally helped you are very appreciated.

    TIA

Two from me. In your specific situation it does sound like meditation may be helpful. You have to relearn some self control and doing nothing takes a lot more control than you’d think.

Deep breathing exercises may also be beneficial.
