I (27M) used to read a lot of fiction novels as kid. Mostly I was into adventure, mystery and horror. I used to spend hours reading one after an other and swapping books at the library every week. Some novels I recall enjoying were the Famous five series, books by RL Stine (nightmare room, goosebumps etc.), Percy Jackson, Harry Potter and Hardy boys to name a few. As I grew older, I got into online video games and I eventually lost the patience to sit and read books. I haven't really read a novel in years. I tried once or twice over the years picking up books like Sherlock Holmes but I just couldn't sit through it. When I used to read as a kid, I remember being completely immersed in the story and was so imaginative. I want to get back that feeling again. I feel like I really missed out on reading the adult version of these fiction novels. Some suggestions I have had over the years from friends and family were books from Stephen king Jeffrey Archer, Agatha Christie and Frederick forsyth etc.

What would be a good place to start reading again?
