When I was way younger I read this book about the son of a genius inventor, who had this big vault of tech underneath his house. It’s a kids (maybe young teen) book but I remember being particularly fond of it. Think I even went to a convention with my school and met the author. I don’t remember much but I remember the book having a trio, including the son of the inventor. The antagonists of the book were after the tech in the vault. Think it was a series, the first book was mostly black with a blue outline of whatever it was about. For the love of god can’t remember the name but I’m hoping someone knows. Author is also British. I think the main focus was a set of gloves but I could be mixing it with something else. Been looking for years at this point.
