Books similiar to Black Mirror

I'm looking for books with a similiar vibe to black mirror. Unsettling, with twists, engaging. I never read a sci-fi book and thought I should. After watching "Hated in the Nation" I thought I'd love a book with the same "atmosphere".

I know there have been plenty of posts here like this but maybe people have new suggestions.
I've seen Ted Chiang getting mentioned in comments. Any recommendations?
