When I was a little kid from like 12-13 I read about a boom where there was this boy in his moms sandwich shop and while his mother was busy making sandwiches he went into I think the storage room and climbed a old ladder to play but once he got to the top of the shelf or something he found a box of books that contained many famous stories and books such as King Arthur or the adventures of this one historical person (which I forgot the name of) who sailed across the sea. He would open one of the books and find himself in the story and meets the main characters. Recently I really wanted to go back and revisits some memories and I was wondering if anyone knew the name of the book or series.
