i read (and re-read…) i'll go on some time ago and i loved it. naghi's part particularly stuck out to me because i wasn't expecting a queer character and as a queer person myself it was just a great surprise, plus the whole part is just so well written and heartbreaking.
i'm searching for books that can be similar in this aspect. i read violets by shin kyung-sook because i saw somewhere that it was a sapphic book, but tbh it just wasn't what i was looking for because the actual sapphic aspect played such a little part in the whole book. i guess what i want is a book with an important queer character but rather than the queerness being the center of its plot, it's their yearning that matters?
does anyone know books like this? doesn't matter where the author is from!!
