Hi this is my first post here, apologies in advance if it comes across as a little cringey

For reference, I absolutely loved Where the Crawdads Sing, and the sincere, raw connection that Tate and Kya have with each other is just impeccable. I've read the book so many times, and I particularly bookmarked the conversation scenes between them, especially the scenes where Tate is questioned about her in his town, cause the contrast is just amazing to me and how they clearly have fought against the odds for it. Just how they are with each other is actually so inspiring and all that. In my opinion, despite the fair amount of attention the book garnered and how it was made into a movie, the intricacies and genuinity of their relationship is still so underrated to me and is enough to bring me to tears.

So when i say outcast, it's more along the lines of a socially isolated/outcasted girl, moreso she didn't want to or was unable to live a lifestyle to blend into societal norms, and she lives in her own out-of-the-norm way, and a boy who could either be an outcast himself or well-engrained into society meets and falls in love with her .

I would prefer if they fall in love such that she doesn't have to change who she is to adjust to his life in society,

but if it's such that it has to happen that way, so be it. (like a She's all that kinda plot going on, yeah fine I don't mind it.)

Could be fiction, and/or fantasy, historical, mystery, etc. I'm not particular about the genre as such.

It's totally cool if it happens to be a tragedy also, actually books like that give me a lot more to think about and I lowkey love that tbh.

(P.S. *cough* definitely cannot relate to this at all and prospectively sit and imagine this in secret, whattt nope no way *cough*)
