    1. “Sister, Maiden, Monster” by Lucy A. Snyder did something I didn’t think was possible, and made a gross-out horror novel focusing on the desecration of female bodies that is somehow. . . feminist? It’s also one of the few books that I thought dealt with Covid in a way that felt honest.

It’s a trip. One of the few books I’ve had to put down and take a break from at times.

The plot starts off with a new pandemic, seemingly turning people into zombies. Things quickly spiral out of control.

A Mormon Exorcism by Jackson Cole. It’s about Mormon missionaries in Argentina. A bunch of paranormal stuff occurs with the main focus being on a female missionary who gets possessed. It’s also free on Kindle Unlimited.
