I am looking for a book for my brother.
I'm currently in Australia and he's in the UK and I am wanting to ship over a book for him. He has a 5 year old boy, and gets to see him every so often. He definitely gets affected by this as he wishes to see him more often. Cut a long story short… things have spirled and he's admitted that he's an alcoholic, takes drugs and his mental health is at the lowest point. He's 35 and still lives with my parents.
He doesn't read at all, but I wanted to send him a letter and a book which I would hope to light a spark in his brain about how beautiful life is. How he has a beautiful boy and that needs to look after himself in order to look after him. How life is precious and you only get one shot, but we have so much time. I can't really do much being in Australia, and I will get to see him in a few months. But I feel he needs a push, a gift or something… I think a book could do him well. Something realistic. Someone he could look up to.
Happy to talk more about my brothers situation if this helps get a book recommended. I honestly didn't know how to write up all this but there's lots more to it.
