I love reading books where the main characters are animals that go on quests and have really nice food for some reason.
Some books that I enjoyed that were like this are:
Mistmantle Chronicles
Redwall Series
The Green Ember Series
The Builders.

Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame
The Last Unicorn by Peter S Beagle
While they’re not animals, I think you’d enjoy {{The Hobbit}}. Has a very similar feel to Redwall imo.
Mouseguard! They’re comics, but very redwall inspired. Mice using needles and fishing hooks for weapons, telling stories at taverns, etc. Absolutely beautiful artwork as well.
