If you have a comic, recommend me those too.

I'm looking for recommendations, because I'm trying to read a book from every country. I know English and German and am learning Swedish and Spanish, so you can recommend a book that's only in any of those four languages (even if I'm still only a Spanish beginner, this'll take years, so by the end I won't be a beginner anymore).

My requirements are that the author was born in the country and that they stayed in the country up until their 20s. They can live in another country while writing the book or after the book was published.

Now for genres, I prefer something lighthearted and romance, fantasy, queer stories, historical, ya, adult, middle grade, or mythology books. But I also like horror and superhero stories. I dislike thrillers, and anything hard to read (either because the story makes me too tense or because the writing is difficult to read). I'm fine with heavy topics as long as they're not written to be shocking or big revelations, but rather just the theme of the book (as long as it's not written in a complicated way, but it's fibe if things are up for interpretation or make you think hard).

Also, for the US I'd like to read something by an indigenous author (doesn't matter what tribe they're from). For Africa I'd prefer not to read from white authors (there's enough of those that I know and like).

    1. There’s a instagramer/tiktoker called Courtney Henning who are in a challenge of reading 1 book per country in the world in alphabetical order. She’s about to start with the countries with letter C. You can use [her partial list in her website](http://courtneyhenningnovak.com/index.php/reading-around-the-world/) as a list of suggestions. The reviews are on her social media, but there’s also the written reviews in the website
