i discovered him through chainsaw man because i was really REALLY bored and it was pretty good and definitely helped me understand his artistic visions and shit but reading his single chapter mangas truly showed me his capabilitie.s his character building might even be comparable to the likes of toni morrison ( my favorite author) but his stories are so unique and really hit home for me. like his work 'look back' which helped me get out of a complete shut down… i was feeling as if wht ever i did severed no purpose but reading look back changed me and i'll forever be grateful for that but he doesn't have a lot of material out so i'd love for ya'll to suggest similar authors they don't hv to me mangakas in fact i'd prefer then not to be i want books that 'll make me feel alive and appreciate the little things
i also recently finished claire keegan's small things like these and i absolutely loved it .
