Hi Redditors, I'm looking for a book or a few books that deal with two subjects in two languages. I'm presently learning French, English is my native language. I am very interested in both English-language and French-language poetry and writing my own. I'm a university-educated person with a History background (so naturally I write a bit verbosely). I am aware that my writing could be enhanced and while the best way to improve your writing is by writing, I also feel I could benefit from some theory. My aspirations for French are to be as good as my writing skills in English currently are, I'd like to study for a second masters degree in French (not as a subject) at some point in my life so my French writing will need to improve.
I also have recently become interested in reading and writing poetry in both languages, however, I always feel unsure of myself when venturing outside of free-verse poetry to more structured forms.
Tl;dr: Give me books on improving writing for English and French respectively, something appropriate for someone university-educated. Also, reading suggestions on how to write poetry would be cool in French and English.
