An easy, yet interesting read.

I'm looking for something to read again since I need to read more. I don't want anything too verbose, like East of Eden, or too fantastical like a fantasy novel. Something that's an easy, yet interesting read. I've enjoyed Sherlock Holmes in the past, and one of my favorites as a kid was I am Legend.
