I'm looking for book recommendations where the main character falls in love with a villain who is genuinely evil, not a misunderstood hero. Any genre is fine as long as the villain is truly the bad guy. (Example, something like if Padmé had joined Anakin after he became Darth Vader in Star Wars)

The YA novel “Tenderness” by Robert Cormier is about a teenaged girl who becomes obsessed with a serial killer. The serial killer is 100% a bad, murderous person who wants to kill innocent people for his own fucked up reasons, but he sees reason to keep her around.
“Maeve Fly” by CJ Leede is a female West Coast 2020’s answer to “American Psycho”. The protagonist is a selfish, sadistic serial killer, and never attempts to frame her as something else. There is a love plot.
