Not looking for a specific era; could stretch back as far as early settlers to a modern survial story. I like books that feel like I’m reading the diary of someone who’s living off grid either by choice or by unfortunate circumstances. I’m currently reading Endurance, which I like a lot, but my next book I’m thinking I want a more in depth reading of day to day survival on land. Any suggestions would be appreciated🙏

The Vaster Wilds by Lauren Groff would probably be up your alley.
Also, I haven’t read it yet but have heard great things about North Woods by Daniel Mason.
