Hi everyone! I'm writing a paper for uni and I'm looking for fiction books by American authors that were published from around 2018 till now and that received a lot of criticism. I'm not from the US or an English speaking country, so I don't really know any and it's hard to just bump into one, since people don't really speak English in my place. The only one I've heard about was "American Dirt" by Jeanine Cummins and it does fit my criteria. It doesn't matter what specifically the book was criticized for (be it plagiarism, appropriation, bad representation, etc), any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!
