Please suggest me a book that has a similar writing style to either Joe Hill, Stephen King, or Patricia Highsmith, BUT that doesn't have violence against women, or at the very least doesn't have any sexual assault. Bonus points if there aren't any misogynistic undertones at all (because even Patricia is guilty of that). Suggestions that fit this criteria by these authors also appreciated!
Extra info: I've enjoyed everything I've read by Patricia Highsmith so far, especially This Sweet Sickness. I'm currently reading Horns by Joe Hill and like the style and concept, but it has been pretty triggering. I haven't gotten to read much by Stephen King besides Elevation and a few short stories, but I want to get more into his work.
P.S. Doesn't strictly have to be thriller/horror, more looking for the similar writing style, but I do love a good creepy or suspensful story!
